Awards/Prizes

  • What kind of awards and prizes are available through Champion Dash?

Cash is king! There will always be cash prizes awared to competitive winners. As for how much? We feel sometimes things are better left to the imagination and values will be announced throughout registration.

Course

  • How long is the course?

    Champion Dash is 5+ km.

  • Do I have to run the entire event?

You can choose to walk or run the events and make the course as hard or easy as you desire. The ultimate aim is for participants to enjoy the experience, whether you choose to follow the philosophy of leaving no man behind or fuel your competitive juices by challenging yourself to become a Champion Dash champion.

  • How many obstacles will there be?

Our event will be packed with 15+ exciting and challenging obstacles.

  • Who designed the obstacles?

Outdoor adventure enthusiasts, sporting entrepreneurs and rescue professionals, designed Champion Dash. The course is designed to be fun and stimulating while testing your problem solving skills, ability to work together, overall fitness and willingness to get a bit dirty.

  • What kind of obstacles will I encounter?

The obstacles you will encounter will require you to crawl, climb, balance, swing, carry and assist others to get to the finish line. It’s not a life changing experience for nothing.

  • What if I don’t want to do an obstacle?

Why wouldn’t you want to try every obstacle since this is part of the fun, and there is no penalty for failure…unless you’ve signed up competitively. However, you are welcome to bypass any obstacle along the course that you find too intimidating. Some of these obstacles will test the best; but with help from other participants or team members, we’re confident you will be able to complete most of them.

  • Is the event timed?

Only the competitive waves will be timed, but that shouldn’t stop you or your team from timing yourself for fun, for a little comparison and competition to log in your workout activity for the day!

  • How long will it take to complete the course?

We anticipate it will take most participants between 1 to 2 hours to complete.

  • Will there be aid stations out on course?

Yes, there will be aid stations with water out on the course.

  • Are the obstacles safe?

Yes, however like all adventure style challenges, there are risks associated with this type of event. All participants will need to agree with our waiver prior to taking part. If participants do not feel comfortable with any obstacles, they should choose to bypass them.

  • What if I get hurt on the course?

First Aid staff will be positioned on-site throughout the course with ambulance and medical teams on hand as well.

  • When will I know what the obstacles are?

We will be releasing details of some of the obstacles on the website and Facebook in the lead up to the event; however, some obstacles are strictly too crazy and cool to reveal!

  • Is there a time limit for completing the course?

No, as long as you have finished and are off the course by the advertised finish time.

  • Will there be photographers out on course?

Yes, photos taken by our event photographers will be available online after the event.

Registration

  • When do I collect my participant pack?

A friendly individual will deliver your pack upon registration, alternatively you can pick it up at the designated location or at our registration table the day of the event.

  • Can I change my wave time?

Due to the amount of work required to allocate individuals and teams into time slots, once your time is allocated you will not be able to change. Having said that, if it’s absolutely necessary to get you on the course, send us a request. We are reasonable people!

  • All participants must submit a complete waiver at Check-in on race before being allowed on the course.  Is there an age limit to participate in Champion Dash?

The minimum age requirement is 14 years of age on the event day. This is due to legal and insurance reasons; so, unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions on this policy. There is no maximum age to participate in Champion Dash; however, by entering the event, you accept that you are fit and well enough to take part in this exciting challenge!

  • Do I have to sign a waiver?

Yes, all participants will need fill in their personal information and agree to the liability waiver provided in the Race Kit.

  • If I cannot attend on the day of the event, can I transfer my entry to someone else?

  • Can I get a refund?

Sorry we will not issue refunds. Rain or shine, we will be out having fun with you on the day of the event. If the event has to be cancelled due to natural disaster, acts of God, terrorism, war or any other reason deemed reasonable by the event organizers, the event will be re-scheduled where possible.
